Years ago I learned an important trick: always fill in the background color first (in this case it’s mostly white). Then – after it’s dry – paint in the designs. Otherwise, it’s hell-on-earth to paint around hundreds of little figures. You’d think I’d know that, but no, back then it hadn’t occurred to me. Duh….!
