Day 2: Orange Tulips and Mexican Dog

A gorgeous, sunny (and cold) day. A good one for working in the studio. It’s amazing how fast the sun and shadows move! I try to follow the advice given to me by one of my teacher, the great Clyde Aspevig. He told us to just to our best to put in the shadows and just leave them be — rather than keep changing them as the sun moves.

Some cloudy days coming, so I tried to catch as much sun/shadow patterns as I could today. Picasso, my cat, was quite demanding, interrupting me constantly with demands for treats, tummy-rubbing, cuddling, etc. I might have gotten a lot more done if he’d stayed in the house with the other 2 cats. All they do is sleep ALL day.
