As soon as I woke up this morning I knew I wanted to do this painting. But alas — I spent most of the day weeding. Well, it’s gardening season and if I don’t do things now, all hell breaks loose. Finally I stepped away from the weeding and sat down to work. Normally I don’t work from photos, but if it’s a portrait – human or cat! — photos are a godsend. I wanted to do this painting for a local flower-themed art show.
The man in the painting is well-known (and loved) by everyone in this area. Won’t he be surprised?
