
By the end of the day it felt as if I’d run 10 miles with a watermelon under each arm. I’d been up bright & early Thursday morning to start the plein air competition up in Charlevoix. Of course it was raining as usual. I cranked out two by about 11 AM, then came home and framed the 2 pieces.

By then it’d turned hot and super-humid. It was a welcome relief to spend the day in a cool studio — with Mr. Wonderful, the cat.

I quit about 5 and spent the next two hours picking raspberries and blueberries. Slept like a rock.…

I think I posted it last week but then took 2 days off to go landscape painting.
