Ah, the craziness of summer! I’d started this one last Wednesday, just the drawing-in. Then there were 2 days of a plein air event, followed by a day of gallivanting around northern Michigan with a friend. Yesterday I finally carved out some time to work on this. Normally I’d paint in all the darkest darks before moving on to other colors. But this was kind of an experiment. My thought was to try to paint in the stuff at the top so that I could eventually have a day or two to SIT IN COMFORT — for a change.
My studio buddy yesterday was Picasso, who provided moral support and encouragement from his rocking chair.

Now — back to work!
