“Monroe Creek”

A cool studio on a hot day! I’d done the smaller field study en plein air last weekend and thought I’d try my hand at making a slightly larger version. I think this is basically done, plus or minus a few tweeks here and there.

I’d never heard of Monroe Creek. Found it last Sunday morning while driving along Metz Road, just off M66, north of East Jordan. I’d bet there are some nice trout in there. I keep promising myself I’ll go fishing. But then days pass by, then months and before I know it, the snow’s flying!
