A Few Minutes of Sun

“Klooster Road” – plein air field study in oil on birch panel 8 x 10″ by Margie Guyot

It always happens: the sun comes out and teases me. I gather up my painting gear and drive around to find a “magic spot”. Within about half an hour, the sun up and leaves, never to return. Good thing I’ve learned to nail the shadow patterns ASAP. I love this road. It’s only about 1 block long. Right off Church Road, south of Essex Road. Some interesting spots to paint right in this area. Old barns, orchards, cows, a farm with dozens of black cats. The fun never ends!
