The other morning I was invited to do a 2-minute live interview for a local TV show at a nearby gallery. The painting they were featuring was one I’d done of a box of antique Christmas ornaments. I’d forgotten how much fun they were to paint, so I decided to do another one. This time with my cats.
After getting in the basic line-drawing, I wanted to moosh in the basic tone of the background – while listening to the impeachment hearings on the radio. Those white blobs on the right will eventually be a tangle of colored lights.
