I paint in oils and they’re notorious for being slow to dry. Some are far worse than others. I use Liquin to help speed things up a bit. That purple color is very transparent, so I know I’ll have to put on several layers (and wait for each layer to dry first). Maybe I should bitch so much and go out and do yardwork (or plein air paint!) while things are drying. Today I was working in the upper left part of the fabric, trying to figure out the folds and wrinkles. Of course it didn’t help a whole lot to have 2 cats rearranging it every day. Hmmm… I wonder — did Rembrandt ever have this problem?
