
Probably our last 80-degree day for another 8 months and I didn’t want to waste it! After doing some gardening and pounding in the driveway markers for my snowplow guy (!) I guzzled some coffee and moseyed down the swamp boardwalk to paint this view. The colors are just beginning to change around here. This is looking west; in back of me is Guyer Creek. I painted in luxury: sitting on a cushioned stool.

That’s part of my Swamp Walk. Painting sales paid for it. If I didn’t have this walkway I could never get back here. Ground is very mucky; grasses grow 7 feet high; lots of fallen trees and branches. I think of the early pioneers with their covered wagons, struggling to get through places like this. Oh boy! Having a trusty wagon comes in handy, too…
