Too beautiful of a day to sit inside, plugging away on a still life! I’d started trimming back one bed of iris and weeding this morning, but again — it was way too nice to waste an opportunity to paint goldenrod. One of my favorite native plants. This view is along the creek that runs through my property. And – best of all – I could stand in the SHADE to work! Pileated woodpeckers were calling and a frog was having some kind of conversation nearby.
