
I mistakenly drove over to pick up paintings at a show in East Jordan but found out I had the wrong day. Good thing I’d loaded my painting gear into the car! I tooled around the countryside SE of East Jordan and eventually ended up on Timber Road. Several years ago I’d bought 10 acres there and hadn’t visited the site this year yet. It’s heavily wooded, on a ridge, with a small creek running through. Birds singing; toads hopping gaily. I have no plan to build there or sell lumber. Mainly I bought it to save it from the loggers. Anyway — I loved the way the sunlight dappled across the road.
