
While Europe is sweltering in 100+ degree heat, I wore a jacket all day and holed up in my studio, waiting for it to hit 70 degrees. A good day for painting inside! I worked on laying in some of the stripes and folds of the tablecloth. No, the cornhusks are not yet finished! Had to step away from those for a day or so – or I’d surely go mad. I also started drawing in a few of the corn kernels. I used to think corn kernels were hard. Well, ha ha! They’re the easiest part of this painting. Then my #1 favorite cat, Picasso, told me to quit and come into the house and feed him. He’s got me trained….
