My friends have heard me bitching lately about the cornhusks. No, they’re not quite done, but I thought it would be fun to make a stab at painting that tablecloth. Well, ha ha on me. That tablecloth is just the devil!
OK — I always end up moaning and complaining about how difficult everything is! And what do I do? Always pick out really hard stuff. Every time. I guess it’s because I get bored painting things that are too simple and easy. Kind of like solving the world’s problems, starting with one tablecloth at a time. Otherwise I’d be pulling weeds. Or shopping. I guess this is better.
If you’ve been following my posts, you’ll know that I’ve found it best to paint in the predominant background color first, rather than paint in the designs first and then having to paint around everything later. In this case, I painted in most of the shadows on the cloth.
And yes, I did pull some weeds today. It’s endless…..
