I’d been slugging away on my rose still life but lusting in my heart to get out and paint a landscape. Finally this afternoon I grabbed my Soltek and set up by the apple orchard. We’ve had another “heat wave” here in northern Michigan and most of the snow is gone. It was 38 degrees — what we call “balmy” this time of year. Alas, I’d gotten about 10 minutes into this when the rain started. I painted as quickly as possible and am calling this one “done”. Self-medicating as I write this with a good old cup of coffee…..
