As of this aftenoon, I’m at Stage 3. But never fear — I’ll most likely poke and daub and claw myself over to Stage 5 in a few days. I remember watching the great landscape painter, Clyde Aspevig, doing a plein air demonstration for our class. At one point he turned around and said, “This is where a beginner would quit. But I know how to fix this!”
