I’d saved the bobcat until just about last. Kind of like saving the maraschino cherry on a sundae for last. I haven’t painted many snarling bobcats before and heck — it’s been a long winter and I’m feeling kind of dare-devilish for something crazy. The bobcat was a FB Marketplace find. He’s a youngster — still covered in lots of spots. Poor little guy. About a week ago I woke up one morning, thinking that still life needs a bobcat (to go with the alligator purse and turkey feathers).
Still plodding along with details in the background. Hark! The end is near. Thank goodness.
