“Apples on a Wild Tablecloth”

Half the time when I painted this, it was zero degrees outside. But I think the pattern of this tablecloth is kind of tropical-looking, so it kept my mind off the weather. It was a lot more pleasant than crawling out onto the ice, being battered by the relentless winds! I should do another painting with this and pair it with Hawaiian-type stuff. Or maybe summer things, like a platter of hot dogs. Celebrate the finish of it by having a hot dog feast for the poor possums. The apples I used for this were old “deer apples” and way past their prime. So – a feast for the deer — and possums….
