Minus 8 degrees when I came out to the studio this morning. Thank goodness for a good, reliable heater — and an ample supply of long underwear! I worked on this one until everything was all gooey. Stood back and kept looking at this, wondering why I’d left the left side so blank. It’s not like to me to do such a lop-sided composition. Then I realized I’d forgotten to paint another of the red flowers up there on the left! Maybe my brain’s frozen?

I would say this composition is nothing like Margie PERIOD. What? You are painting something just with apples? no glass – no thrifty finds – just apples and a cloth. NOPE! Not Margieish at all.
