One of my friends gave me this pot of paperwhite bulbs over the holidays. They’ve flourished in my studio and I finally decided to paint them. The challenge is that they’re pretty tall. How to get a good composition? I ended up setting them on the low table next to my easel and looking down on them. I knew I couldn’t dilly-dally — they’re starting to get a little wilted, as are the oranges. I started the ketogenic diet about a month ago and oranges are pretty high in sugar. I think the possums like them, though, so I’ll set them out on the compost pile. Maybe I can re-use the paperwhite bulbs again next season.
