A good day to stay home and finish this. The high temperature today was about 10 degrees and we’d had about 6 or 7 inches of snow. After shoveling the usual paths to the studio, the garage and the compost pile, I’d run out of excuses to get back to the still life. I lightened the foreground a touch and fussed with the zinnia petals. I suppose I could keep pecking away on this for weeks, but I’m calling this one “done”. Hmmmm… what will be the next zinnia painting?
