Back to the Swamp

“The Swamp in Back of My Studio” — plein air field study in oil on birch panel 8 x 10″ by Margie Guyot

Finally — a rare, sunny day! It would have been a tragedy to waste it. Pretty chilly here (especially since I can’t put on shoes or socks yet), but at least I found a pair of warm gloves. The graupel was still in the grass from the last storm. I stood in the shade of my studio, looking out at the swamp to paint this. It’s always nice to find a convenient tree to hold my roll of paper towels.

Picasso, my smartest, most loyal, #1 cat, supervising from his special roost inside the studio.
