Day 1: Pink Gladiolas

I bought these gladiolas two days ago, cut them twice and put in warm water. Still waiting for all of them to open up. While waiting I did a lot of gardening and cleaning up in the studio. Finally this afternoon I grabbed a board and started laying in a painting. I usually give my prepared boards a thin coat of oil paint to tone them. This board (which fits a really cool twig frame) had no toning, so I kind of just slapped paint on. Finally at the end I painted in one or two blooms — just to see how they’d look.
