What a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon! My friend Melanie Swords and I went over to King Orchards and found this view of wonderful, old nectarines in bloom. Another plus: we were able to stand in the shade the whole time.

Here’s my setup. Lake Michigan in the distance. Using my ancient, battered french easel.
