Nectarine Orchard

“Nectarine Orchard” – plein air field study in oil on birch panel 8 x 16″ by Margie Guyot

What a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon! My friend Melanie Swords and I went over to King Orchards and found this view of wonderful, old nectarines in bloom. Another plus: we were able to stand in the shade the whole time.

My painter friend, Melanie Swords. All dressed for tick season, too.
Here’s my setup. Lake Michigan in the distance. Using my ancient, battered french easel.
