The 6 Steps in The Creative Process

  1. This will be awesome
  2. This is hard
  3. This is shit
  4. I’m shit
  5. This might be ok!
  6. This is awesome!

I don’t know who wrote this, but I have it typed out and taped to my studio wall. I’d say today I’m hovering somewhere between Step 4 and Step 5. It looked so awful at one point I had to put my brushes down and go out and prune apple trees for a couple hours.
