Roses on an Orange Hibiscus Sarong

“Roses on an Orange Hibiscus Sarong” — oil on canvas 30 x 30″ by Margie Guyot

OK, I’m calling this more-or-less done. I think I used more ultramarine blue on this painting than I’ve ever used before! Had my fits with the orange, too. “The Orange Paint that Refused to Dry”. This was so much fun to do that I stopped by the grocery store yesterday and got some deep pink roses. Let’s hope they stay alive for a few more days — and the cats leave them alone.

Speaking of cats, here 2 of my babies, Mr. Wonderful and Picasso. One of Picasso’s hobbies is to drink from flower vases. He shoves everything aside, sometimes tipping everything over. My precious child — impossible to stay mad at him!
