A Rare, Sunny Day

And I hated to waste it! I headed out to two of my favorite spots. Some of you might recognize this place: Mitchell Road. I’ve painted this spot in all kinds of weather, all seasons, all times of day. Kind of a chilly day and windy, but I set up in back of the truck, facing south, and it wasn’t bad.

I drove home and realized I’d left my favorite water bottle on the back of the truck. Darn! So I turned around and drove back and picked it up. Leopard print! Gotta have it!

Then I decided to go back along Bennett Hill Road to another spot. The day was young yet. I painted this view, sitting inside the truck.
