My rule for making choices: if you laugh when you see something — or get goosebumps — go with it! Last week I was cruising one of the local antique shops and spied this pair of Foo dogs. I knew they’d end up in a painting! And how about that tapestry? Snagged that at an estate sale. Dozens of browsers turned up their nose at it. I’m an “anti-beige” type of person. The pumpkin is a hang-over from my last still life. Even pumpkins are very reflective. This one’s reflecting some of the bright rose-pink of the fabric. Got this all blocked in and am itching to progress….
