Sunday Afternoon in My Driveway

Painting with cat accompaniment.

It was a beautiful day. I wanted to paint something. Definitely a landscape. But I didn’t want to actually go anywhere. Well, there’s always my driveway! In fact, the driveway was a major selling-point when I was house-hunting. “Find me a mailbox with a driveway that you figure a house must be back there somewhere!” is what I told the realtor. Ah, seclusion! I love it. I’ve painted it in all seasons, in all kinds of weather. Set up my Soltek in the shade and painted happily away with my little painting buddy, Picasso. A perfect day for an introvert! Some people go mad during self-isolation in this pandemic but to me, it’s just another quiet, pleasant day.
