In a way, being in self-isolation and having all the galleries closed is rather freeing. Who knows when the galleries – and buyers – will get rolling? There’s no pressure to crank out things people might want to buy — which I detest! Now is the perfect time to paint for fun. To experiment! And it’s a great time to practice painting portraits – my “last frontier”. And since I’m always here, I made a good model to paint. And you just can’t beat the price!
I dragged out my trusty mirror and started this today. Not sure of what the composition will be, as usual! Like a novelist, I’ll create it as I go. Undoubtedly it’ll have a good measure of wild & crazy….
