Yellow Lilies on a Hippie Bedspread

I decided to take a mini-break from tulips and paint some lilies. These are some semi-squashed Asiatic lilies from the grocery store and some mini-carnations. I rooted around in the back room and unearthed an old favorite: a purple, tie-dyed Hippie bedspread, probably from the 70’s. Maybe tomorrow I’ll tip this setup apart and see if I can come up with a new view for these blooms. It’s been dark and gloomy up here for well over a week, so going out plein air painting landscapes is no fun.
