I actually tried starting this yesterday. Spent an hour drawing it in, then realized I’d chosen the wrong size canvas. Wiped the whole thing off, got a slightly larger (and squarer) canvas and started drawing it in this afternoon. Had several total wipe-outs until I could get it just the right size, right spot and angle. Decided I’d better quit while I was ahead. Tomorrow I’m (supposedly) going plein air painting at a peony farm. I DO have things planned for this, though. There is a method to my madness.
