I did something I almost never do: painted this from a photo. But at least it was one I took! Our weather’s been so dark and gloomy I haven’t wanted to go out painting these past few days. The last time I was at Antrim Creek Natural Area I snapped a few pictures. Late this afternoon I brought my field easel into the house and looked at the photo on my computer. It was pretty dim light to work in. I’m kind of surprised it turned out as well as it did!
Maybe I’ll get brave and try to do a larger painting from this view.
