
I had many errands yesterday, including painting my friend Rusty’s dahlia patch, so I didn’t have time to work on this one at all until today. Not too far to go — just a bit more on the leaves. Those caladiums have held up quite well. This is my 3rd painting with them. I was kind of holding off on doing landscape painting until the fall colors started up.
Rusty’s dahlia patch was a challenge. There were 2 plein air groups planning on painting there yesterday and I mistakenly went to his dahlia patch that wasn’t the “designated one”. Duh. I soldiered on, though, and painted this one:
