Day 3: Those White Caladiums

I must be getting old. I love staying home with my cats. And it’s a plus if I’ve got a painting going in the studio. Glad these caladiums are holding up fairly well. One of the big challenges with this painting will be to figure out the patterns of the fabric that are behind the caladiums. Oh – and another thing — I was reminded once again of the importance of keeping my studio doors shut. Hummingbirds came in twice and couldn’t figure their way out again. Also, a huge dragonfly. I managed to coax them all out safely, thank goodness. I think the hummingbirds are starting to migrate south. Two of the almost hit me in the face this afternoon while I was taking a break outside. They’re quite jealous birds, spending most of their time chasing intruders.
