It’s been the most perfect day to just stay home and work in the studio. The sky was covered in dark clouds, it was very humid, and it seemed like rain could burst loose at any moment. The roads were full of impatient holiday drivers, wanting to run us old farts off the road for doing the posted 55 m.p.h. Ach! These caladiums are still looking wonderful, so why waste them? As confusing-looking as that background fabric may look, it’s way easier to paint than what I used in my last painting.
