Taking advantage of the cloudy day to paint leaves. This area’s had quite a lot of rainfall recently — and more is on the way tonight. Thankfully my studio hasn’t been flooded. My house is on the side of a ridge and one of the downstairs rooms has about 1/2″ of water. Oh well — painting helps to keep my mind off it.

My cat climbed up into bed with me at 5 AM this morning (his usual time) and his little paws were wet. Oh boy. A warning about “things downstairs”. It’d rained heavily through the night and most of my downstairs is flooded. Getting upset about it doesn’t help….
