I had to work from a photo on this one. This is a view of maple trees growing along a very steep, narrow seasonal road. I’d have loved to have set up my easel there, but it was a bit too risky. So I had to rely on my little point-and-shoot. I’ve been plugging away on this one a little every day in the studio.
If you look closely on the lower left, you’ll see a little chipmunk. My nod to the great Robert Bateman, with whom I was lucky enough to have had a workshop out in Montana back about 1987. It was one of those life-changing experiences!

Wonderful! Love the chipmunk!
