Elderberry Bush Along the Creek

The creek is pretty narrow at this point and the grasses grow long and lush, almost covering it. I’ve been eyeing that distant elderberry bush, meaning to paint it. I set up my easel on the narrow bridge this afternoon. One false move, one sneeze and it would have been in the soup….

Every once in a while I’d look down and see a large minnow (baby trout?) zipping by in the water. And dragon flies were chasing each other around. Mosquitoes continued to bite…..alas……
