
The bear is a grizzly I got from the estate of Todd Warner. He’s a big, heavy thing. It took 2 burly men and a dolly to heave the thing into my house (during a snowstorm, no less).

There was no way I was going to move it to my studio, so I lugged my canvas into the house for the day. My “easel” was a stepladder and I set the canvas up on some shoeboxes. Hey — whatever works! Here’s a photo from the side:

Here it is, back in the studio at the end of Day 2. I didn’t want to paint ALL of the bear yet. Still figuring out what all’s going into this painting.
