Day 2 here and all I did all day was paint rose leaves. In the past I whined about it, but after struggling for days on that last still life (!), you’ll never hear me complain anymore about painting leaves! It was very dark and gloomy as usual, so I didn’t get to see the dazzling greens. The next day it’s sunny I’ll have to perk up these leaves. Another thing I’ve noticed: painting roses is starting to get a little easier. Only about 9,900 more to go — and I’ll be an expert!
