
It was time to add some ingredients. Why I’d bought celery hearts last time, I don’t know. They were trimmed severely. Most uninspiring. So much better to have the long, sprawling ones, I think. So I mussed this bunch up a little. Turned a stalk askew. Also new today: a pickle jar, a few more potatoes, a Vidalia onion and the beginnings of a few hard-boiled eggs. And radishes! Yes, I like radishes in my potato salad. My Aunt Dorothy screeched at me Radishes? No! You don’t put radishes in potato salad! Alas, she was no gourmet. Iowa in the 60’s…sigh…..
