As soon as I woke up this morning I knew what I wanted to paint: a mud frolick! By some miracle, I just happened to have some images I’d taken years ago when I lived downstate. One of the towns held a “mud festival”. How could I miss that? Hundreds of people went. It was spectacular! I’d have enjoyed a good roll in the mud, but I didn’t want to risk ruining my camera. Instead, I shot photos.
The tough part is sorting through all the shots, taking bits and pieces here and there — and coming up with an interesting composition. And people need to be the right size to fit. Not done figuring this out yet, but it’s a start.
