Plein-Air Cat

“Picasso” — plein air field study in oil on birch panel 8 x 10″ by Margie Guyot

Just try to get a cat to hold still for 5 minutes! I’d set up my easel in back of the studio, overlooking the swamp. I’d meant to paint a view of a button bush, but decided it wasn’t going well — and wiped it out. Meanwhile, Picasso had moseyed around to see what his momcat was up to. Why not paint him? So adorable! OY! He’d roll around and stretch just about every minute or two. So it was a bit interesting, but kind of fun to try anyway.
