Pink Roses – Day 2

Day 2 — and all is gooey!

A peaceful day here at Possum Hollow Studio! I managed to get all 3 roses painted in. Next step was to draw in the salal leaves. Over the years I’ve learned to paint in the “mountains and valleys” of the fabric, using Liquin, which helps the oil paint dry faster. After a day or two, it’s all nice and dry. Much easier to paint patterns on! If you make a goof, you can wipe it off and try again. I didn’t always know this.

This is about as far as I could go this afternoon. Thanks for checking in!
