A Little Winter Sun

“A Little Winter Sun” — plein air field study in oil on birch panel 8×10″ by Margie Guyot

Ten degrees this morning — but sunny! I drove a mile down Old Dixie Highway and turned right onto Lore Road. For a change, I thought I should try to paint something without a road in it! I parked on the side of Lore and sat in the truck to paint this. I loved the blue shadows running across the snow! I didn’t get out and traipse through the snow to look, but I think that’s a little creek bed running through.

I’d hoped to get in a couple more paintings this afternoon, but the clouds rolled back in as I finished this. Oh well! There’s always something to do in the studio!
