Here’s a work-in-progress, day 2. This morning I was up and out the door at daybreak, wanting to hit the feed store for bargains on bird seed. What a beautiful morning it was: sunny, for once! As soon as I got home I flew into the studio to put down the sky and snow colors.
I haven’t quite made up my mind yet what to do with my face. Should I look down — or up? I’ll know in the morning.
I didn’t have any photo references to use, so for most of this painting I had to keep getting up and looking into the mirror.
I did have a model for my coat, though!
