Box of Ornaments

“Box of Ornaments” — oil on canvas, 24×30″ by Margie Guyot
Stepping away from ice pyramids and painting mishaps, I thought you might like to see a painting done in a nice, warm studio. Some of these ornaments have got to be a good 60 years old (or more). Putting up a Christmas tree these days seems like too much work! Then you have to take it all down again. All those needles! Bah! Humbug! Better to just buy a poinsettia and call it “done”. OK — I also decorate my front porch. Here’s my fake man, Rufus, all decked out for the holidays, holding his bottle of tequila.
