When wondering what to paint next, I decided to pick something that was challenging, something that would keep me occupied until the snow melts and gardening season begins. Hah. This one is it. I wasn’t happy with the “stripes” I’d blocked in of the fabric. They just didn’t look quite right. That’s one of the problems when it comes to drawing from life. Every time I’d step back to draw and then step back for a look, I’d be in a different vantage spot. Just enough of a difference to make the drawing a bit awry. Today I decided to try to correct the stripes (if possible). So maybe that will help. Some areas I had to give a thin coat of white. Once that’s dry I can give it a pale yellow.
Here’s a closeup of what I was doing this morning. Hmmm — I wonder how many dots & circles I’ll have in this thing….
