Day 2: Painting During Snowmageddon….

Tons of snow here! 3-foot drifts to clear on the way out to the studio. I shoveled twice today. Four times yesterday. Thank goodness for Tylenol! My cat leaped ahead of me this morning, struggling through the drifts. He loves spending days in the studio with me. Here he is, all snuggled in:

First thing today I wanted to give the background a coat of Vasari Dutch yellow. From there, I concentrated on getting the Foo dogs drawn in. Then I worked on the leaves a while. Finally, I got out the shovel and cleared all the paths. Even dug out my snowshoes and trudged through the drifts to try to knock the snow off the overhanging tamarack branches that hang over the driveway. My snowplow guy probably appreciated the effort.
